Need A Boost? Start Self-Caring.

Okay, so here’s the deal on motivation…

If you lost your mojo, can’t get out of your own way, procrastinating, and just can’t get it together, and you’re not self-caring at this point, don’t expect motivation to come knocking at your door.  The truth is, if you’re not self-caring, you’re not even in the game of motivation.

Lack of motivation is usually due to fatigue and stress.  So we know to combat this we must self-care.  Now, self-care is not just about taking bubble baths…(lol) it’s much deeper than that.  You can start with the regular rituals; meditation, exercise, diet and sleep – these will all help build and boost the immune system and therefore enhance Serotonin, Dopamine, etc., levels in your brain.

Also, eating too much junk food and abusing alcohol and drugs will mess with your brain of course, so that will affect your motivation.  What you need to understand is that  motivation is neurobiological as well.

Now, another big thing is to make sure your environment is conducive to wellness.  That means, less is more.  Your living space and work space should be neat and tidy and organized –  no clutter.  Studies prove that clutter messes with your brain – i.e., gives you clutter of the mind and causes stress and overwhelm, therefore, diminishes productivity.

Now, once you’re starting to get back into the game of motivation and you’re feeling much better – the key to productivity is to have your eye on the future – meaning, you have to have a goal.  Hope for something to go after.  Without this, you will just be surviving not thriving – and we don’t want that.

So you must begin with a Life Goal. Now that may seem contrary to what we’ve been told all these years – such as we need yearly, monthly, weekly, and daily first.  After you devise your life goal, then you start working backwards toward the other goals.  Without a life goal, you’re just skimming through life without a purpose and there’s no bigger productivity killer than that.

So there you have it.  Remember, self-care is self-love.  Start today – it’s never too late.

Want a secret weapon to reduce your stress?

Want a secret weapon for relieving stress? Get organized.

It’s pretty much common knowledge that clutter can drain your energy. A cluttered home – a cluttered mind. But clutter also drains your finances and schedule, which we refer to as the hidden cost of clutter. Not only does it affect your energy and pocketbook, it ultimately creates a chaotic life.

Putting in the effort to get organized by establishing healthy habits, (especially if the disorganization and clutter extends to multiple areas of your life) can help reduce stress tremendously. Just think how stressful it is when you’re scrambling at the last-minute looking for your things or you show up late for a meeting because you lost track of time.

Being organized on the other hand, can leave you feeling empowered. Facing the day prepared can actually minimize the strength and duration of your stress. The key is to reduce your triggers in the first place.
Getting organized doesn’t have to be overwhelming. There are a few habits you can learn right away, such as:

• Everything in its place and a place for everything. (And that place should make sense.)
• Keep like with like.
• Dedicate 20 minutes to a task each day.

To reduce your stress, consider how organized you need to be. While you may not need your books alphabetized or have every minute scheduled in your calendar, adopting a few good habits could go a long way.

In case you haven’t heard, I’m teaching a class on the 7 Habits Of Organized People. If you want to minimize your stress and learn some pretty cool strategies, put this class on your calendar! Although I won’t be addressing how to color coordinate your clothes or line up your shoes and handbags, I can promise that you will walk away with a closet full of valuable information.

It takes courage to crawl

It takes courage to crawl when you feel like you can’t move and everything is a struggle.

But remember, that one little movement, that tiny little crawl, can springboard change.

If you’re buried beneath the clutter, exhausted by the mental chaos, don’t underestimate the power you have inside of you! You’re stronger than you think.

Start with something just enough to get the wheels in motion – it doesn’t matter how small it is.

For now crawling is courage – remember that.  It’s okay.  Things will change with movement.

Mindful Tools For Organized Living

Mindfulness Program All In One

Have you ever tried to get something done that’s very important but your heart just isn’t into it?

It feels strange because it’s contradictory to what you’re saying you want to do, right? Part of you knows it would be such a relief and it makes so much sense, yet you just can’t seem to find the motivation to get it done.

Do you ever wonder why that is?

Well, here’s the thing. Your mind has a lot to do with how your heart is feeling.

You see, if you don’t have clear direction, a path with steps to follow, through to completion, your heart is simply not going to be into it.

I know it sounds funny, but it’s true.

If your mind doesn’t have clarity you will find yourself procrastinating. As Brendon Burchard would say, “Your heart is going to ask you to pause.”

In my program, Mindful Tools For Organized Living, I address this issue thoroughly because I know that most people who have clutter have problems with procrastination. I also know that frustration, stress and overwhelm is a result of not having clarity.

If you’re an on-line learner, Mindful Tools For Organized Living is a video tutorial that walks you through, step-by-step, the process of decluttering your life and Mindful Tool #5 specifically deals with how to overcome procrastination.

If you prefer one-on-one support, The Mindfulness Coaching program is your best choice for rapid results. If you’re interested in learning more about this, simply schedule a call with me HERE!

Either one is guaranteed to help you get out of your rut and on to being productive.

I hope this clears up the mystery a bit about “matters of the heart” and look forward to helping in any way I can.

It’s All About The Results

It’s Friday and I’m hoping you have some really cool plans for your week-end.

Whether you have something super exciting to do or you’re going to simply chill out and relax, as long as you have peace of mind, that’s all that counts.

Having a clear head to enjoy the things you want to do in your free time is priceless.

That’s not always easy to do when you have countless things on your mind, especially things that you have been putting off and procrastinating about.

The problem with procrastination is eventually it takes a toll on the mind and starts to wear you down.

I’m going to be teaching a class on how to finally put procrastination to rest. I think you’ll find it quite helpful if you’re looking to get results on some of those looming projects.

I hope you’ll join me.

A Class On Procrastination

Is procrastination getting the best of you?

In the words of Brendon Burchard (the world’s leading productivity coach):

“Procrastination basically means you are not doing what you know you need to do when you know you need to do it. It’s putting things off because in the short term, it’s easier, it’s more comfortable and it’s more certain.”

The truth of the matter is, we all procrastinate.  We do it because at times it feels more pleasurable to be distracted or to indulge ourselves in doing something else, than it is to sit down and do the actual work to create the outputs that matter when they are needed.

Personally, when I start to procrastinate it’s usually a sign that I’m feeling overwhelmed and I need a break.  Sometimes that’s easier said than done though.  That’s when I have to give myself permission to walk away for a period of time and find something as a substitute to recharge myself.

But what about when procrastination feels as if it’s getting the best of you and you’re feeling stuck –  then what?

Well, I don’t think it’s a good idea to bite off more than you can handle by trying to figure out how you can conquer procrastination all at once.  But what I do think is healthy is trying to figure out a way to set yourself up to do less of it.

Make sense?  If you agree, I’d like to invite you to a workshop that I’m hosting on-line where I’ll be showing you three ways to deal with your procrastination so you can be productive.

All you have to do is click on the below link to register.

There’s No Magic To Getting Organized But There Is A Method

When it comes to getting organized, most people wait until they “feel” they have a really good reason to take action.  For example, the holiday season or a special occasion.

This is not necessarily the best time to start de-cluttering and creating order in your home, however.

The reason I say this is because usually the “urgency” of wanting to do something is not always the best way.  It takes time to get organized – the right way, that is.

Disorganization and clutter usually doesn’t occur over night.  So to expect to create an organized environment swiftly is just adding additional pressure on yourself.

Just like with anything else in life that you want to be successful at, there is a system to follow.  Getting organized is no exception.

There’s a reason why my clients are able to live clutter-free.  It’s not magic.  But there is a method I teach them.

If you’d like to learn how to reduce your stress, overcome your anxiety and create a living space that reflects the essence of “who you are” then my Mindfulness Coaching Program just might be the answer to your clutter problems.

I’d love the opportunity to explain the program to you and see if it’s a proper fit.  You can find out everything you need by scheduling a call with me HERE.

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  Talk to you soon!
