When It All Feels Too Much

When it all feels too much and trying to get through everything feels utterly impossible….

I want you to take a deep breath and say this immediately:

“I can change everything I need and more – It’s all within me.”
My coach Derek turned me onto this affirmation and I want to share it with you because it’s powerful! It’s powerful because it’s true.  We all have inside of us what we need – we just need to be reminded of this.  If at this very moment you are feeling overwhelmed, and it feels as if you lost your way, please register for my upcoming class.  I know where you are – I understand what you are going through.

Now is the time you want to learn some really good skill sets to balance out your life.  When we are out of alignment in our life, it usually is due to a conflict in our values.  The good news is this is something that can be worked out.

I encourage you to register for my upcoming class, especially if you are experiencing excessive clutter or any other outward manifestation.

Register now and then congratulate yourself for taking the first step to change.  I look forward to your presence.

A Man Needs To Know

A man needs to know
A man needs to know that he’s bad and he’s good,
He can be what he hopes, he can be understood.
A man needs to feel he can conquer a fall,
For a man who can kneel has the strength to stand tall.
A man needs to know he can share and confide,
Even though he’s frightened way down deep inside.
For sometimes a man must sink terribly low,
Before he discovers how high he can go.
A man needs to know at the end of his rope,
He can handle his fears; he can build on his hope.
A man must believe he can change when he must,
He can learn to receive; he can learn how to trust.
And why must a man feel afraid and alone,
When each of us has the same fears of his own.
For sometimes a man must sink terribly low,
Before he discovers how high he can go.
A man has to live when it’s painful to try,
For a man needs to laugh and a man needs to cry.
A man has a need to strive and prevail,
He must learn to succeed and find out why he failed.
To carry his crown and to fill-up his cup,
Sometimes he drops down so that he can reach up.
For sometimes a man must sink terribly low,
Before he discovers how high he can go.

Me & Marlo Thomas – Coping With Empty Nester

SO HERE IT IS!

Just chatting with Marlo and other women about our experience with our children going off to college and how we coped with the change.  Interesting observations and insights!

Some Hot Responses to the Video:

Hi Patricia,

I watched the video and wanted to add my two cents, which may be different than others. When Jacob left for college at 18, I was ready for him to go. I was sure he would be fine. But when I did leave, he became beligerent which really forced my hand. In hind sight and after discussing the dynamic with him, he admits it is because he needs to feel in control so he can leave me. I have grown to understand and accept the dynamic. When we get together, we have a great time but I know that the separation will be rocky. We talk, chat, im, skype daily and they are always great conversations. I know my son loves me and he knows I love him. He just has a hard time separating.
My other son, Dan, 21 years old has special needs and will be moving out in July. This is the separation that worries me most. I have had sleepless nights over it. It is the final bird flying the nest and I will be alone for the first time in my life. I lived with my parents, in a dorm, with my older sister, my husband and then my kids. Come July I will be alone. I am contemplating a move to an apartment in a new city, closer to NYC, a new career and a new life. Alot of change for the entire family. I have birds flying around in my stomach. LOL. Hope this helps your blog followers.

Hi Pat,

Such a hot button topic!  I’m not one to join in these conversations, but I have to say that this was one that I didn’t hesitate to join in on.

Hope you are well!

All the best, Rene’
