Turn Chaos Into Calm By Reconnecting With The Lighter Side Of Life

Organically Yours All In One

Sometimes life doesn’t go the way you planned.  A heath setback, career change or end of a relationship can cause mental stress. Stress that may feel unfamiliar and scary at times.

If we are open to it, we can usually find helpful tips that can ease the transition a little more gently while on the bumpy path of life.  Anything that can lighten the heaviness and safeguard your well-being is a plus.

During fragile times, it’s not uncommon however to revert to unhealthy choices.  Unfortunately when we choose this course, we eventually find that all we did was delay our healing and progress.  We come to learn that trying to fill a void with “things” just doesn’t work – and all you’re left with is the burden of excess; too much of this and too much of that.

In my book,  Organically Yours, I give you concrete action oriented steps  and spiritual practices to help you come to terms with some of life’s little challenges.  The idea is to grow and learn from your experience so you’re equipped with the right tools for life’s ups and downs.

It can be life altering when you walk toward the light and make bright healthy choices rather than running with fear and making impulsive, random decisions.

You see, I understand this familiar path.  I’ve been there.  And I can share with you that amidst the chaos it is possible to find the calm by reconnecting with yourself.  Your light is there.

Organically Yours takes a holistic approach to healing utilizing the body, mind and living environment.  I found  all three are equally important for a balanced life, especially in times of turmoil.

I’ve combined the book with training videos and a workbook that walks you through each component of the body, mind and living space.  You also get additional bonus items when you take me up on my special offer that you don’t want to miss! (You’ll have access to my inside secrets I learned when I was going through a difficult time.)

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.  Go ahead, your brighter self will thank you for it!

YES, I WANT ORGANICALLY YOURS NOW!

HOW TO TRUST IN THE MIDST OF TRANSITION

We hear it all the time – “Just Let Go Man!  Let It Go”!
But for the person who is holding on for dear life, well that’s another story – because it seems impossible to do.
When we hold on for too long, sub-consciously we are saying, ‘I have a deep belief about something and I’m not letting go until, well, until it becomes the truth or something changes my mind.’
The problem is in the midst of this “bargaining” phase, we become stuck and do not allow life to carry us to new places.  Instead we push life into our own making and can miss many opportunities.
So, what is the secret to letting go?
The secret to letting go is believing that you will be okay once you do.  I understand this is easier said than done. But it’s the truth.
If you knew for certain that all would be okay if you let go, would it make a huge difference in your life?  I’m sure it would. I say this with confidence because I am living it.
In my upcoming tel-class I will be sharing with you how I got through the most difficult of times and how you can too.  I will also be inviting you to a workshop that I am hosting in January of 2018.  My goal is to prepare you now so you can schedule your plans accordingly to attend this ground-breaking event.
Please join me in this upcoming tel-class to learn more!

Motives Do Matter

Motives Do Matter

Emotions are a habit – You get what you tolerate.

Tony Robbins said this and he was right.  The key to unlocking your negative emotions is to realize that they have become just that – a habit.  It is a learned behavior.  What we need to do now is retrain ourselves to feel differently so we can begin to focus on the positive aspects of life – and begin to feel the passion again.  This is possible as our brain is like a muscle – it gets stronger with practice.

So how do we do this?

According to Tony, and most professional growth leaders, you begin by finding something greater than yourself to serve.  Live for your family, community, humanity.  Choose something that you  can aspire to and truly feel good about.  Remember you can’t fake this, so no BS here.  As they say, “Motives Do Matter.”

Life is too short to stay in this cycle.  This is not to say that you won’t ever  feel sad, mad, stressed out, etc., –  of course you will.  The difference is that you will not live there for very long.  You can change it.

A Little Encouragement Can Go A Long Way

When Timothy first contacted me, he shared with me that it was difficult for him to get out of bed in the morning. After he got his kids off to school, all he wanted to do was go back to bed and sleep the day away.

Self-employed and working from home, Tim was struggling financially. He left a good job to work from home so he could take care of his children after the passing of his beloved wife.  On top of the normal bills, he was also accumulating college tuition debt while pursuing another degree.

Tim was literally worried sick over how he was going to manage it all.

(The above is an excerpt from Life Recovery for the Cluttered Soul)

Life Recovery Final Cover Only

After reading a little bit about Timothy, what do you think he needs the most that would shift things for him immediately? It could be time, money, love, – perhaps all of these.
But what if I told you that the very thing that helped Tim right there and then, was something so simple, so pure, yet so absent from what we typically might offer someone.
That single thing was “encouragement.”
You see, if we take a look at what this word really means to us as human beings, we will see that we all need it. Not just sometimes, but all the time. Encouragement is about offering unconditional support.
I personally believe that support is a natural motivator and the cornerstone to healing. We all need to be encouraged along this journey we call life – in good times and in trying times.
Can you just imagine what our world would look like if we were all encouraged on a daily basis!Imagine just for a minute what that would look like – just how different “things” could be for us.
Today, my dear friends, I encourage you to consider how you can support someone starting right now. Maybe this person is a friend, a co-worker, a loved-one, or perhaps it may be someone you do not know at all. Be open, be aware, be encouraging and watch the magic!

Worry About Today Only

Although my Mom was never big on having “one-on-one” conversations with me, she somehow always managed to share her unspoken thoughts with me in other ways.

I recently came across a clipping that my Mother gave me many years ago from the columnist “Dear Abby.”

I am eternally grateful that even to this day… I can still hear her…just when I need her the most.

It goes like this:

“There are two days in every week that we should not worry about, two days that should be kept free from fear and apprehension.

One is yesterday, with its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains.  Yesterday has passed, forever beyond our control.

All the money in the world cannot bring back yesterday.  We cannot undo a single act we performed.  Nor can we erase a single word we’ve said – yesterday is gone!

The other day we shouldn’t worry about is tomorrow, with it’s impossible adversaries, its burden, its hopeful promise and poor performance.  Tomorrow is beyond our control.

Tomorrow’s sun will rise either in splendor or behind a mask of  clouds – but it will rise.  And until it does, we have no stake in tomorrow, for it is yet unborn.

This leaves only one day – today.  Any person can fight the battle of just one day.  It is only when we add the burdens of yesterday and tomorrow that we break down.

It is not the experience of today that drive people mad – it is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.

Let us therefore, live one day at a time!”

(Amen Mom – Amen.)

FOR SIMPLICITY’S SAKE

“For Simplicity’s Sake!”

That’s what I say to my clients who want to live a simpler lifestyle yet can’t manage to “let go.”

Why can’t they “let go?”  Because they are afraid.

I remember at one point feeling that way in my life, but once I got on track and stayed COMMITTED to my dreams…everything fell into place.

It’s remarkable the effect commitment can have.

Which is why I am offering this tel-class.

I want to share with you some interesting news and let you know that I believe there is truth in simplicity.

I believe 2013 is the year for new beginnings. A year to make decisions to live simple.

I also understand that some people have difficulty making decisions about how to live a simpler lifestyle. They get confused or overwhelmed.  Some love the idea of living simpler but to actually implement a plan to do this usually gets put on hold along with the other unfulfilled wishes and dreams.

That’s why I want to share with you what I have been doing in my own life.  I want to help you stop procrastinating and develop a plan that can make you live more authentically.

This Tuesday’s Tel-Class is going to give you a lot of information about this and my upcoming on-line workshop –  Live A Life That Matters.

So please, take this time to consider registering for this tel-class tonight and think about how you can begin to make a difference for yourself this new year.

This tel-class is going to be a popular one so be sure to REGISTER NOW to reserve your place.

I always love when you participate in class.  So don’t be shy if you have something to share or have a question to ask.

Thanks again for registering.

I’ll be speaking with you soon!

Paying Tribute to Memories Can Help Us Move On

Coping with the loss of  anything significant in our life can be challenging.   It can be difficult to release memorabilia that connects you to a significant person, event or part of  your life that was important to you.  I try to help and support my clients find balance in memorializing that something or someone (with the proper respect) without having it overcome their life.

The following letter is from a client:

Dear Patricia:

When I attended one of your workshops last winter, you gave me an exercise to do that included choosing some items that would pay tribute to my mother who had recently passed on. I actually made my little shrine by displaying some of her “things.”

Today, I sat among her things and wrote up all my Christmas cards. It was the first time since she died in 1999 that I have been able to get myself to sit down and do all my cards. You see, we used to enjoy this task of writing out our cards together.

Every year I have felt badly about not getting the Christmas cards out. I just wanted to thank you for the role you played in conquering my aversion to doing this happy task without Mom. I dropped off the cards this morning at the post office and it felt just great!

“Nancy”

What about you? Is there a task you used to enjoy, but find yourself holding back due to losing a loved one? Do you find yourself holding on to “things” because of the memories?

Although building a shrine typically is meant to honor the deceased, it also can serve as a way to acknowledge loss.

For example, Judith Kolberg explains in “Conquering Chronic Disorganization” how she worked with a retired teacher who had difficulty letting go of memorabilia that represented his teaching years. Unfortunately after years and years of saving his “stuff,” this created an insurmountable amount of clutter and prevented him from making room for anything else in his life.

So, just like my client, Nancy, they too built a shrine, only his was to memorialize his teaching career.

A shrine may take form by selecting a small table or any place you feel fit to place artifacts that represent and pay tribute to your cause. Remember, selecting items that best represent the memories that you hold near and dear to your heart enables you to release the things that stand in your way of moving on.

Endurance and Passion – Finding The Winner In You

It’s interesting to me how I view the words endurance and passion so differently since I began the Simplify Me Challenge.

Although it’s understood that endurance represents staying power, patience, and to some level survival, I never realized that I had the ability to stay within the confines of these words to help bring out the winner in me.

What I mean by this is typically when I would have “enough” of something, I would choose to stop or let it go.  But this time, this challenge has brought out something bigger within me that I cannot give up just because I feel like it.  There is something that has stirred within me that is almost primal – the desire and the need to fight.

I guess that’s where the word passion comes in.  I used to equate this word with love and romance for another person,  a career or hobby.  I understand that passion is about excitement, delight and somewhat of an obsession to a point, however, what I am beginning to see is this passion has expanded into something bigger, almost viral, that has managed to seep into my very core.  For the first time, I am feeling passionate about me.

It’s a new feeling that I am getting acquainted with and although at times I internally kick and scream through my challenge, I feel amazingly blessed that I am learning so much more about myself and how I can use this experience to help my clients even more.

The brutal truth is for years I have championed my clients through their life’s turbulence.  Steering and directing them  through the chaos, helping them reclaim order once again.  Witnessing their inner strength, watching them claim their victory and feel like a winner has brought me much joy for which I am eternally grateful and I know has contributed to my business success.

But this current journey is teaching me so much more.  It is helping me push myself to limits I never knew existed within me.  It’s making me fight for the winner that has been trapped inside and waiting to get out.  It’s bringing me to uncharted areas of my life that is making me believe on a much deeper dimension my favorite quote by Emily Dickinson…

“Dwell In Possibility” for when you do, you will find the winner in you!

Always my best,

Patricia
