Lifestyle Changes That Move You To Be A Better Person

When I had my health scare, I remember two questions that weighed heavy on my mind:

1.  What is the root cause of my health problem?

2.  How can I heal myself naturally?

Those two questions led me on a wellness journey which prompted me to write my book, Organically Yours; Open Yourself to a Vibrant Healthy Life Through Clean Living.

Since then, I’ve made significant lifestyle changes – all for the better.

And I continue to seek out wellness information that makes sense for me.

I believe that any lifestyle change has to speak to you…move you to want to live better.

If you’re interested, I will be hosting a FREE Webinar where I’ll be sharing some of these lifestyle changes.

You can register for it here:

Home, Sweet Home

Home, Sweet Home

Home, sweet home is an expression of delight/contentment on returning home after an absence.

Research suggests that it originated from a song from the opera Clari, or the Maid of Milan which was first performed at Covent Garden, London in 1823.

The lyrics were written by American actor and playwright John Howard Payne (1791-1852).

Popularized during the late 19th century it became an anthem for soldiers during the American Civil War.

Since my home is an actual cottage, I especially love these few lines:.

Mid pleasures and palaces though we may roam,
Be it ever so humble there’s no place like home!
An exile from home splendor dazzles in vain;
Oh, give me my lowly thatch’d cottage again!
Home! Home! Sweet, sweet home!
There’s no place like home!

So how are you feeling about your home these days? Is your home something you refer to as home, sweet home after an absence or do you feel anxious and overwhelmed upon your return?

In a study that surveyed residents of the US and Canada on the relationship between clutter and personal well-being, the research hypothesizes that clutter might prevent people from reaping the benefits of having a home – a place commonly associated with comfort and security.
(“The Dark Side of Home” – Journal of Environmental Psychology)

One of the key findings was that:

Clutter had a negative impact on self-reported well-being and a “strong negative impact on feelings of security, safety and other positive emotional benefits derived from a sense of psychological home,” a term that refers to the concept of “home” as a “vital source of meaning, belonging, and identity.”

The one thing I know for sure is that clutter hurts. It hurts your well-being in all aspects and robs you of having a home, sweet home.

If you’re experiencing clutter and are ready to learn some powerful strategies to take back your home, you have three things you can do immediately for a better quality of life.

Julies’ Lasting Impression

Julie’s Lasting Impression

Have you ever met someone in your life that changed you forever?

I’ll never forget my experience with Julie and the lasting impression she had on me.

It was a warm Friday afternoon and I just finished the remainder of my iced tea that Julie poured for us earlier. I handed the glass back to Julie, and gave her a great big hug good-bye.

“You stay put, I can see my way out,” I told her.

We did a lot of de-cluttering work that day and I could see it took a lot of energy out of her.

As I headed down the driveway toward my car, I remember thinking…

I don’t want one more person to go through this. It’s just too painful.

By the time I reached my car, my emotions welled up and got the best of me.

I drove away feeling overwhelmed with sadness.

Not too long after, Julie lost her courageous battle with cancer.

That was the turning point in my career.

From that time forward, I made a decision to help people understand the importance of decluttering their life now, before a crisis occurs.

Today, I show women how to get organized in a way that combats the fear, overwhelm and procrastination so they feel empowered to change their life. (before a tragedy occurs)

It’s working. It’s making a difference. And I know it can for you too!

That’s why I’m excited to invite you to my MINDFULNESS WORKSHOP. It’s on-line and LIVE for one day only. Space is limited.

You can get all the details HERE!

I hope you’ll join me.

Do You Have Difficulty With Self-Care?

Do You Have Difficulty With Self-Care?  Two Words That Can Make A Difference!

Self-care is an interesting topic. For many people it has different meanings. For example, one person may need more alone time for their self-care, while another person may feel more nurtured by being social. Same result, different action.

Regardless of how we choose to self-care, (as it is a personal choice) I find that most people have a difficult time either initiating the process or following through on the process in a consistent manner. Most people know what they need but doing it is something entirely different.

I talk about this in my book, Organically Yours, and give examples of how being my own health detective (knowing) motivated me to become my own health advocate (doing). Trust me when I tell you, it made a huge difference in my wellness outcome. And it can for you too!

I understand the feelings associated with not following through on something that can leave you with a whole host of negative thoughts; I must be lazy, I can’t ever finish anything, I’ll never be able to get the results I want.

I don’t want you to feel this way any longer. That’s why I want to spend some time with you and share some really great information that helped me. If you accept my offer, not only will you receive great bonuses, but you’ll get some tips for self-care that you can begin to implement right away.

I hope you accept my offer. There are only a few spots left and 2 days left until this offer expires! Isn’t it time you went from knowing to doing? Let’s do this together!

You Don’t Have To Be Forced Into Wellness

Too many of us wait until a crisis occurs before we take action. Take me for example. I didn’t know that I would wake up one morning and be in for the shock of my life. But it happened! That experience forced to become my own health detective and advocate due to the pressure constraints and lack of immediate knowledge. I don’t want that to happen to you!

“Many Americans live an unhealthy lifestyle, not by choice, but because of a lack of education as to what they need to do to maintain a healthy lifestyle. A lack of education about being healthy and well, as well as a lack of motivation to get employees to “engage” in healthy behavior is one of the largest problems the United States faces.”
(Source: According to the Corporate Health & Wellness Association)

The truth of the matter is, preventative care is the key to wellness. Not to sound like a broken record here, but again, I had no idea that the foods I was ingesting were breaking down my body instead of building it up. I learned so much on a fast tracked basis on how to heal my body and what I should and should not be doing. There were things I knew were far more healthier for me, but I didn’t know what or how it would personally affect me. That’s why I am passionately trying to share with you this information as best as I can. I don’t want you to suffer like I did!

Don’t wait until you are forced into wellness – be proactive – empower yourself and learn what you can do right now to change the course of your health and life.  Check out my latest video…then see for yourself. If you think my book can help you then go ahead and grab the book for only $1.00 for a limited time offer:

How Cluttered Is Your Brain?

A cluttered brain can be filled with many things, ranging from all the things that are on your ‘to do’ list to worrying about how you will be able to complete everything successfully. One area that can predominately clutter up our brain is the constant banter we have with ourselves – our internal dialogue. This private conversation can influence our brains to have negative attitudes and thus, negative outcomes if we feed it negative thoughts.

Take Tammy for instance. She couldn’t understand why her sister’s life was filled with happy, positive things while her life was always a struggle. Her thoughts were, “Nothing good ever happens to me. Why do good things happen to my sis, while I always get the short end of the stick? It just isn’t fair!”

It wasn’t until Tammy started to realize that her sister always has a positive attitude.  It doesn’t seem to matter what happens, her sister handles most everything with ease and looks for the good in all situations.

Maybe it’s time Tammy finds out more about healthy thinking. It certainly couldn’t hurt…

Can you identify with Tammy? Or do you fall more into the category of her sister’s mindset? There were certain things that led up to Tammy’s aha moment that helped her transform her thinking. Would you like to learn how she did it? Then, you should grab a copy of my new book, Organically Yours; Open Yourself to a Healthy Vibrant Life Through Clean Living. If you pre-order now, you can receive your copy for only $1.00 plus S&H.
